Associate of Arts Degree

Hawks Prairie Center offers day and night classes that fulfill the requirements for the Associate of Arts Degree. The Associate of Arts or commonly called "transfer" degree is designed primarily for the student who plans to fulfill the general education requirements for a baccalaureate degree at a four-year college or university.

To qualify for the degree, the student must satisfy the general requirements of the college and complete 90 quarter credits in courses numbered 100 or above with a grade point average of 2.0 or better.

GED and ESL

Adult Basic Education classes are designed to improve basic language arts, math, science, social studies, and technology skills in preparation for taking the GED tests or to brush up on basic skills. Each student's learning level is assessed prior to entry.

In addition to ABE, the Developmental Education division also offers ESL (English as a Second Language) classes.

ABE and ESL classes are non-credit and cost $25.00 per quarter.
