Project Management Certificate Program
This program is designed for US Army soldiers receiving AVOTEC funding and culminates in a Project Management Certificate. Soldiers need to contact Ginger Judd, Program Support Specialist, prior to registering on the AVOTEC website. There are some substitutions that can be made to the elective courses and options can be disucssed with the Program Support Specialist.
This program provides students with a comprehensive grounding in the
underlying principles, basic concepts, and terminology related to Project Management.
The Project Management Certificate Program (PMCP®) is 120 hours in length and and includes all classroom materials. Classes are listed below:

Core Courses - 60 hours
- Project Management Essentials (15 PDUs) - Sept 1-2
- Project Leadership & Team Management (15 PDUs) *- Oct 13-14
- Project Initiation & Planning (15 PDUs)* - Nov 9-10
- Project Execution, Control & Closure (15 PDUs) * - Feb 24-25
Course times are from 8am to 4:30pm
*Prerequisite needed: Project Management Essentials
Elective Courses - 60 hours
- Project 2007 (21 PDUs) - Sept 28-30
- Project Requirements Development & Management (7.5 PDUs) * - Oct 29
- Project Quality Management (7.5 PDUs) * - Oct 28
- Project Management for Business Process Analysis (15 PDUs) * - Jan 18-19
- Project Risk Management (15 PDUs) * - Mar 23-24
