Certificate Programs for AVOTEC

These programs satisfy the educational needs of US Army Soldiers receiving AVOTEC funding and culminate in either a program certificate, a recognized certification, or courses prepare you for a certification test.

 

For each of the programs listed there is a contact person that can help you create your program plan before you register for the funding on the AVOTEC website.

What is the Army Vocational/Technical (AVOTEC) Soldier Program?

  • Training in high-demand career fields as identified by the Department of Labor.
  • Prepares soldiers to find employment after transitioning out of the Army in high-demand no degree occupational/technical fields.
  • Programs lead to licensure or certification at state or national level.
  • Academic programs do not qualify for AVOTEC.
  • AVOTEC is different from typical credit/semester hour-based occupational/technical programs which are available to soldiers on the GoArmyEd Portal.
Who is eligible? Active duty Army, and select National Guard and Reserve Soldiers:

  • Officers
  • Wounded warriors
  • Including National Guard and Reserve Soldiers on extended active duty
  • Not for veterans

Certificate Programs

Certified Public Manager (CPM) ProgramCertified Public Manager(CPM) Program - $3580. This nationally recognized certification program is designed specifically to meet the needs of today's public managers who operate in an environment of close public scrutiny, high expectations, and constant change. Nonprofit Leadership InstituteNonprofit Leadership Institute - $1450. This 9-month cohort-based certificate program provides the practical skills and knowledge necessary for a successful nonprofit leader. Courses are taught by local nonprofit professionals. Nutritional Therapist Training Program - $3300 - Become a Nutritional Therapist in this exciting and unique 14-Module course presented by The Nutritional Therapy Association, Inc. The course is taught over 8 months and will train you to analyze nutritional deficiencies, balance body chemistry, and help others achieve vibrant health and wellness. Project Management Certificate Program (PMCP®) - $3155 - This certification program is 120 hours in length and is comprised of courses to provide a solid grounding in managing projects. Contact Ginger Judd 360-596-5747.

A+ Certification Training $1095

For anyone interested in the CompTIA certification, our certified instructor will provide up to date information on how to best prepare for the exams. CompTIA certification validates the latest skills needed by computer support professionals. The exams cover technical skills such as installation, configuration, diagnosing, preventive maintenance and basic networking, as well as soft skills like security, safety, environmental issues, communication and professionalism. Cisco Interconnecting Network Devices $1750

The Cisco ICND course is designed for IT staff who want to learn the fundamentals of implementing Cisco switches and routers in multi protocol internetworks. This course provides the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting information that beginning routing technicians need to operate Cisco products effectively. Our certified instructors use the official Cisco Press textbook, mapping to exam 640-507 for Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification.
